James Graham's Dear England does exactly that, immersing its audience in a fixture in which they already know the result - and instead asking them to focus on the journey.

The hit play depicting Sir Gareth Southgate's revival of the England men’s football team arrived in Norwich this week to a packed-out Theatre Royal.
