The commotion erupted in Mousehold Street at about 6pm on Wednesday when two men started fighting in the street.

Officers arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of actual bodily harm in Heathgate, just metres away.

He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

But a spokeswoman for the force has confirmed that "he has since been released and no further action will be taken".
