When will work begin on building city's Costco store?
Bosses of the American business Costco are remaining tight-lipped about when they plan to begin constructing the warehouse at Broadland Business Park.
When asked about when they will break ground on the site or for guidance on when the new store is expected to open, a spokeswoman for the company said those dates would not be revealed until the business is ready.
Proposals were put forward for the club and petrol station in Postwick in October 2024.
Although Broadland District Council's planning committee gave the application its seal of approval, it also highlighted conditions the company must adhere to as part of its decision.

Among the conditions, the council says the warehouse club can only operate between 10am and 8.30pm during the week, with shortened hours over the weekend and on bank holidays.
However, the petrol station is set to be open for longer - between 6am and 9.30pm from Monday to Friday - and 6am to 8pm on Saturdays and 7am to 6pm on Sundays.
Costco stores also include a bakery, butchery and a service deli, which also come as part of the 'club' membership.
Costco stocks bulk goods aimed at business owners and runs on a membership model that is open to individuals who work in certain sectors as well as business owners.
But not everyone in the area is looking forward to the county's new arrival.
Locals said they feared the new store would bring an increase in traffic to the area, particularly due to the proposed 625 parking spaces at the store, and disputed that it would attract a niche customer base.
Costco representatives stressed the store would not open until 10am on weekdays and would not have a significant impact on rush-hour traffic.
