Old Buckenham Country Park, located near Attleborough, Norfolk, is a 32-acre rural campsite centred around two lakes and surrounded by mature woodland and wildflower meadows.

The park provides camping and glamping options, newly upgraded facilities and a licenced café. It also hosts a busy social calendar featuring street food vendors, live music, themed gatherings and outdoor events.

The business aims to carefully balance visitor enjoyment with nature stewardship, protecting wildlife while enhancing the landscape through sustainable management practices.

Old Buckenham stood out for “the drive and personal dedication behind the project”, according to the judges.

They said that “the owner’s hands-on approach and clear sense of direction have shaped a place with lasting benefit for nature and the community.”

The Rougham Estate is a 3,000-acre family-owned estate near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk.

Alongside farming, woodland management and heritage conservation, the business also manages residential lettings and a tourism and hospitality business including a shop and café.

The Rougham Estate Trust, established in 2011, will inherit and manage the estate in perpetuity, ensuring Rougham remains a protected green asset for the community.

By combining regenerative land management, biodiversity protection, community engagement and renewable energy, the trust has created a sustainability strategy with measurable outcomes.

Rougham Estate stood out to the judges because “its leadership shows long-term vision, responsible decision making and a deep commitment to its community and environment”.

They praised the impact that regenerative farming has had on the land, adding: “Its values guide each part of the estate.”
