Unai Emery sent clear Marcus Rashford transfer verdict as Aston Villa plan emerges
Marcus Rashford has completed his initial loan move to Aston Villa, ending the speculation over the Manchester United and England star's future - and some Villa fans in the Birmingham Live comments section can't wait to see how manager Unai Emery deploys their new forward.
Villa moved quickly to secure Rashford in the wake of Jhon Duran's £64million switch to Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Nassr. Villa will pay the lion's share of his considerable wages with some performance incentives built in to the deal, and have a £40million option in the summer should he impress at Villa Park.
Rashford's options for a winter move have been severely limited, after saying that he wanted to leave for a "new challenge" in December last year, with few clubs able to match his and Manchester United's demands. Villa offer Champions League football at an upwardly mobile club, and it's hoped that he will be able to help secure European football next season too.
