Roni’s Remedy: Removing roots, stop hitting yourself, and quiet rage
Q: I feel like I am outgrowing the town of Yuma. I am from here and have loved it, but I feel ready to try a new city. Everyone is so “pro-Yuma” here that I can’t really talk about wanting to move without feeling guilty. Do I just move and don’t say bye or let the guilt go? – Looking At The Map
A: Looking At The Map – Definitely let that guilt go! You should be able to say what your life's dreams are without feeling silenced. It's okay to move and try new places. Just because you're from Yuma doesn't mean you have to stay here forever. I’m from here and have moved around quite a bit, and I don't regret any of it. Yuma is a great town to start a career in and then move on to a bigger city to try a different career path with more open doors. A lot of people end up moving away and coming back because their family is here or they want to raise children here. But honestly you don't need to stifle your words. Don't just take off and leave but........
