When it comes to condiments, mustard is at the top of my list.

Mustard, spicy brown mustard, horseradish mustard, sweet mustard … whatever, I’m good with it. It’s a versatile treat, and I have yet to find a version that I don’t enjoy.

But I might have to draw the line at this recipe I saw yesterday.

It’s for Bertman Ball Park Ice Cream.

Now, if you’ve ever been to a Major League Baseball game in Cleveland, Bertman’s is the house mustard – a position they’ve had for over 90 years. I grew up with Bertman’s slathered on bratwurst and hamburgers, and it was always a special treat when we were at a game.

It is delicious, and every time someone sends me a few bottles from Ohio, it’s a little taste of home, right here in my kitchen..

But in ice cream form? Friends, I’m skeptical … but I think I might have to whip a batch up to try it!

First Take: Mustard ice cream? Hm.
