Aaron Farinacci, the alleged arsonist in the Washington state catastrophic wildfires, has, according to prosecutors, “admitted to starting one Spokane wildfire and more than two dozen others since last year.”
Whoever the arsonist was, he is eminently deserving of the death penalty, and if it was Farinacci, he deserves it in spades.

The premeditation is there, including his admission that he had planned to set the fires weeks before actually doing so, and his scheme included choosing a day with high wind and low humidity, maximizing their deadliness.
His plotting yielded the grisly results for which he thirsted and must have stoked his evil glee, as the fires expanded over 10,000 acres and destroyed hundreds of houses.
Farinacci is scheduled for a mental competency hearing, pursuant to his public defender team’s request for such, claiming that he lacked........
