Demand for “tranq” is growing in Florida. Reports show that up to 80 percent of recent fentanyl seizures contain xylazine, a sedative given to animals during surgery.
In the latest episode of High Society, VICE speaks to tranq dealers, tranq users, and those trying to stop tranq users dying to find out what’s behind the surge in its popularity, and what makes it so dangerous compared to other street-level drugs.
