Gen Z progressives wanted Biden out. Now can we please focus on Trump?

I was not looking forward to voting for Joe Biden.

I struggled to support him in 2020 when a full Democratic primary provided younger or more progressive options. This year, I struggled with his response to the Israel-Hamas war. In the past few weeks, I struggled with concerns over his age and mental acuity.

I was ready to accept Biden as the nominee, but I was going to hold my nose and vote for him to keep Donald Trump from ever reaching the White House again. On Sunday, Biden solved my moral dilemma by dropping out of the race.

In Biden's letter, the president said it was “in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”

He’s right ‒ this is the best decision for the country. In doing this, Biden is cementing his legacy as a decent president. In doing so, he is also doing something that Trump could never........
