With yet another scandalous story surrounding the Senate candidate from Maine, Graham Platner, this latest seems to have finally sunk his chances. POLITICO has come out with another story of another woman detailing another case of sexual assault. The difference this time is that she is not a known conservative, so unlike Lyndsey Fifield’s story in The New York Times last month, there is not a ready-made outline to dispute her claims.

As a result, the Democrats who endorsed Der Oysterfuhrer are recanting their support, some are going so far as to delete their social media posts, and the media that ardently pushed him are trying in vain to sound morally upright today. They are failing. We need to keep these types of sources in mind going forward, given the way they have given this Nazi-sympathizing predator with the fabricated biography full support for months, despite his obvious glaring issues.

Starting our list, but by no means being the worst example, is Sarah Longwell, who actually discusses this as a “moral matter.” She says such AFTER declaring that the only reason she and her dysfunctional crew are dumping Platner is due to him no longer polling well. When you say “I want to win” as the driving force of your ethics, that is the opposite of morality.
