News started to come out on Thursday that CBS News was poised for another round of layoffs, as restructuring is taking place with the Skydance Media-Paramount merger underway.

But Friday morning saw some jarring updates as the announcement was made that CBS News Radio was shutting down completely, after more than 100 years. As of May, the entire operation will cease, as Bari Weiss has said that the entire division was obsolete, and there was no profits whatsoever to be realized from radio.
