When Ryan Wedding allegedly tracked down and ordered the execution of an FBI witness in Colombia scheduled to testify against him and his international drug empire, he wanted to reward the Montreal hitman who had pumped five bullets into his enemy’s head.
So according to the federal prosecutor, he turned to Diamond Tsar owner Rolan Sokolovski, his alleged Toronto bagman, and “designated” him to make some jewellery to thank the assassin.
“He’s right in it,” argued federal Crown attorney Heather Graham. “He’s right in this misconduct. And for that reason, I’ll repeat that the court shouldn’t accept my friend’s attempts to distance Mr. Sokolovski from the DTO’s (drug trafficking organization) murders and violence.
