Our federal government constantly vilifying Israel makes it clear what it’s going to be like for Jews in Canada for the foreseeable future. That what stretches before us are years of antisemitic attacks, far beyond the norm, simply because we’re Jews, which security experts warn will inevitably escalate into a major terrorist attack, even if there’s no immediate threat today.
Australia was warned for years about its failures to address growing antisemitism in the wake of Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, before it exploded into the Bondi Beach massacre of Jews celebrating Hanukkah.
As the Times of Israelreported in December 2024, “Australian Jews experienced more than 2,000 anti-Jewish incidents over the past year, more than quadruple the number from the previous year, the Executive Council of Australian Jewry said.
