Is the Union Station revitalization project a make-work bonanza for the unions that do city work?

It sure looks that way.

On Sunday, Union Station announced their exciting new tunnel. Those travelling between the GO York Concourse to the TTC subway are doing so along a new glass-covered underground pathway.

As part of the never-ending revitalization at Union, the new tunnel will run below Front St. while the lower level of Union is closed off for construction until December (until — as always — there is a new deadline).

The project was supposed to be done in 2015 at a cost of $640 million. It started almost 10 years ago. (That’s why you might be numb to the incompetence by now.)
