AGAR: Arrests of Toronto cops not a blight on all of policing

They have been investigated, arrested and charged. I hope, if convicted, they get long sentences

The fallout from the Toronto Police crisis is that there will be an investigation into all police forces across Ontario.

Ontario’s inspector general of policing, Ryan Teschner, said on Feb. 9, “I am announcing an independent province-wide inspection into the ability of Ontario’s police services and boards to prevent, detect, respond to and fortify their organizations against corruption and ensure integrity.”  

It remains to be seen what will happen to the 27 people, including seven cops and one former cop, charged in what is the biggest black eye to Toronto policing since the G20, 16 years ago.  

They have yet to have their day in........
