Let’s just all agree that the construction aggregate kiln proposed for Rensselaer is a horrible idea, and move on. We’re looking at you, state Department of Environmental Conservation.
Rensselaer shouldn’t even have to be dealing with the S.A. Dunn construction and demolition debris landfill that sits next to its public school campus. But there it is, day in and day out, bringing eye-stinging, nose-crunching stenches despite leaders and environmental activists’ efforts to shut it down.
