Other than which way toilet paper should be placed in the holder, there is probably no more divisive topic in American households than what to do with empty Amazon boxes. Should they be saved or tossed?
Me, I’ve never met a cardboard box that I didn’t want to save.
If one is brave enough to venture into my basement (a signed liability waiver is required prior to entry) they would bear witness to the Great Leaning Tower of Boxes, roughly 50-75 cartons of all shapes and sizes, precariously piled on top of one another. It’s sort of like my own personal six-foot Jenga display, where the slightest breeze created by a person walking by could send the entire structure tumbling down. There would be no survivors.

The bulk of the boxes are from Amazon, but there are many others, from Chewy, catalogue companies, eBay sellers and various one-off shippers. At the base of the tower is a........
