Churchill: 35 questions inspired by Andrew Cuomo

ALBANY — Longtime readers will know that Gov. Andrew Cuomo does not inspire me. Quite the opposite, usually.

That changed Tuesday when I read something the governor wrote for the Washington Post's website. It was called, "35 questions Americans should ask themselves this election season."

Cuomo's questions were mostly banal. (Example: "When did we get so angry?") Still, inspiration struck like a thunderbolt. I could write something like that, I thought. How hard could it be?

So for your reading pleasure, or not, here are 35 questions inspired, for the most part, by Andrew Cuomo.

1. How did the governor of a state with the nation's steepest population loss win reelection so easily?

2. Has Cuomo really given up on running for president, or is he quietly waiting for Joe Biden to fail?

3. If Democrats really care about poor people, why don't they understand, as Cuomo does, that charter schools are vitally important for poor families? (See, I don't always disagree with him.)

4. If Donald Trump obstructed justice for impeding a Mueller investigation that was ultimately completed, didn't Cuomo obstruct........
