Comment: All these years later, antisemitism rises again

A commentary by a retired architect who lives in Victoria.

In 1948, at Halifax harbour, a large group of Jewish Holocaust survivors from Europe walked down a ramp onto a waiting train and were securely locked onto the train so they could not escape.

This group of Jews was denied access to Canada even after the Canadian government knew about the millions killed in the gas chambers.

However, at the same time, the government allowed Nazis into Canada.
