Thousands protest against government at right-wing rally in Tel Aviv

At least 1,500 people turned out for a right-wing demonstration against the government in Habima Square in Tel Aviv on Tuesday night.

Likud MKs including Amir Ohana, Eli Cohen and Galit Distel Atbaryan, and Religious Zionism MKs Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben-Gvir addressed the gathered crowd.

The politicians railed against the ousting of former prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as well as against the inclusion of the Islamist Ra’am party in the government and the coalition’s efforts to reform issues related to religion and state.

Smotrich welcomed the crowd of “those who believe that we have the power to change and bring down this bad government and establish in its place a Jewish and Zionist government for Israel.”
