The Times of Israel is liveblogging Sunday’s events as they unfold.
Extremist Haredi protesters broke into an IDF conference on its ultra-Orthodox Hasmonean Brigade in the city of Bnei Brak.
The IDF says that the event was held for the parents of recruits to the brigade, and “some of the protesters acted violently toward the brigade’s soldiers and commanders.”
The military says that police were called to the scene and managed to restore order.
“The IDF strongly condemns any act of violence against its commanders and soldiers,” it adds.
News outlets say that two soldiers were lightly hurt in the clashes and that the brigade’s commander, Col. Avinoam Emunah, was escorted out to safety by police amid the scuffle.

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee slams popular conservative commentator Tucker Carlson for denying that Hamas is a terrorist group.
Hamas “seems more like a political organization,” Carlson says in a clip from last year reshared by Huckabee on his X account.
“Tucker saying the massacre, mutilation, & rape of women in front of their families is ‘political’ is like saying the ovens of Auschwitz were only used to keep Jews warm,” Huckabee writes on X. “What he says is not just wrong or ignorant. It’s demonic.”

The IDF says the strike that it carried out earlier this evening in the area of southern Lebanon’s Bint Jbeil killed a Hezbollah operative “involved in efforts to rehabilitate Hezbollah’s military infrastructure.”
According to the military, his activity constituted a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.
