A Palestinian was killed and several were injured amid multiple settler attacks across the West Bank on Wednesday, according to Palestinian media and video footage.

Reports said a Palestinian was fatally shot in the Tayasir area of the northern Jordan Valley amid a clash over a new wildcat outpost nearby. Tayasir is designated as Area A, where Israelis are prohibited from entering and the Palestinian Authority has full control under the Oslo Accords.

The dead Palestinian man was later identified as Alaa Khaled Subiah, who outlets described as a young man.

In a statement on the incident, the Israel Defense Forces said troops deployed to the area “following reports of an incident between Palestinians and Israeli citizens that included stone-throwing,” adding that an Israeli citizen and one Palestinian were taken for medical treatment.

“During an initial investigation, it turned out that a soldier on vacation shot a terrorist after he threw rocks at Israeli citizens, wounding one of them,” the IDF said, without specifying the injured Israeli’s condition.

“The case is being investigated and the details relayed to the authorized bodies.”

Earlier, settlers reportedly beat two young men near the village of Einabus in the Nablus area. Outlets reported that in the village of Burin, also in the Nablus area, assailants maced a Palestinian woman.

In the South Hebron Hills, settlers were filmed attacking two boys ages 11 and 13.

Additionally, overnight, soldiers and settlers were documented entering a village in the South Hebron Hills, where they allegedly that attempted to steal livestock and assaulted one of the residents.

There were no reports of any arrests in any of the reported incidents.

The West Bank has recently seen a wave of rising extremist settler violence against Palestinians.
