American pop star Bruno Mars will make his way to Israel this fall for the first time and will perform at Tel Aviv’s Yarkon Park during the Sukkot holiday on October 4.

The Grammy Award-winning — 15 so far — artist’ well-known hits include “That’s What I Like,” “Treasure,” “Uptown Funk,” and “Just the Way You Are.”

Mars, born in Hawaii, also has Jewish lineage. Mars is one of six kids, with a Filipino mother and half Puerto Rican-half Jewish father originally from Brooklyn, New York. One grandparent, of Hungarian and Ukrainian descent, was reportedly a Hebrew teacher.

Mars’s parents were both entertainers and met onstage, with Mars joining them when he was just four years old.

He’s known for his stage performances and showman style, and for singing and producing pop, R&B, funk, soul, reggae, disco and rock songs.

Tickets will cost NIS 385 for general admission to the lawn, NIS 855 for golden ring seats and NIS 955 for the VIP area.
