Racist Hollywood

The 98th ceremony of the Academy Awards at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood took place this past March. Unfortunately, this “production” included a disgraceful and disappointing element. The inclusion of Javier Bardem as a presenter by the Academy was both insulting and immoral. Bardem was chosen although his despicable racist political and antisemitic stance was well known by the Academy Committee.

The entertainment industry in Hollywood was created and established largely by Jewish refugees from Eastern Europe and their descendants. These future entrepreneurs came to America to escape from the oppression, racism, antisemitism, and violence in the “Old World.” Once in America, they found antisemitism in many aspects of society. Higher education, social clubs, and even some industries were closed to Jews. The burgeoning entertainment industry allowed Jews the ability to create most of the major studios that are still in production today. Universal, Warner Brothers, Paramount, Columbia, Fox and MGM were all started and built by Jews in the early 1900’s. It is legitimate to state that Jews were the founders of the Hollywood entertainment industry.

Today’s film industry is a mere shadow of its former self. The number of productions decreased dramatically. The overall quality of production has declined as well. The founders of the motion picture industry could never have envisioned that the film and entertainment industry would be heading to the dust bin of history. The liberal and woke take-over of the media has proven to be a dismal failure.

The most recent Academy Awards ceremonies received a shrinking audience viewership. It dropped from the previous year by 9%, making it the lowest rating since 2022. For the last few years, the Academy has included controversial political presenters. It appears they were hoping for controversy to improve their dismal ratings. This “ingenious experiment” has been a collective failure. Instead of attracting additional viewership, ratings have plummeted. It is evident from the numbers that the entertainment industry has lost its way.

The acceptance of the sanctimonious Javier Bardem as an Academy presenter emphasized what has gone awry within Hollywood. He apparently believes that his political opinions are vital to society. Instead of sticking to the script, this self-inflated, egotistical actor spouted “No to war and free Palestine.” By doing so, he exploited his privilege and exhibited fundamental ignorance of historical facts. This oxymoronic comment was proof of Bardem’s blatant antisemitism and hypocrisy. His arrogance was on full display. Even more disgraceful, however, was the audience’s response to his remark. Their reaction was a despicable display of applause and cheering.

The audience, which included many Jews, proved once again their lack of knowledge and ethics. Members of the Academy of Motion Pictures consist of 10,000 people within the industry. They elect, vote, and decide among themselves how to award each other. A warped sense of elitism and power pervades this industry. Their reality is dependent on make-believe. They are detached from actuality. History and facts are inconsequential compared to emotions and feelings.

Hollywood would be well advised to concentrate on their craft instead of promoting biased political ideology that they know little to nothing about. The boorish audience that cheered and applauded Javier Bardem brought to light the deranged antisemitism pervading all aspects of society.

Hollywood should be well advised that the American Natives, the Aboriginals of Australia, the native Maorise from New Zealand, as well as many other native peoples around the globe all support the ancient indigenous people of Israel- the Jews. The hypocrisy displayed by Bardem was especially amplified considering his homeland of Spain maintains repressive control of the Basques, Catalans, Galicians, Andalusians, Asturias, and the Agagoese. Bardem and his ilk should look within, as these people desire freedom from Spain.

Bardem’s divisive statement and the audience’s response highlighted the disconnect between Hollywood’s insulated circle and the realities faced by countless individuals outside their privileged sphere. Instead of fostering genuine dialogue or understanding, these actions served to alienate audiences further and undermine the credibility of an industry already struggling with relevance. If the Academy and its members truly wish to regain respect and inspire future generations, they must look inward, acknowledge their missteps, and return to celebrating the artistry and innovation that once made Hollywood a beacon for creative excellence.
