Verbose and easy in the limelight, Chris Cuomo returned to talk to us.

He made his mistakes, he lied, he regrets, he went through therapy, and he’s not done with us. He wants to empower the reasonable majority, that’s not at the fringe and dislikes the polarization from both parties.

But, his rebranding only is partial, as I will show. He easily could have joined Andrew Yang, who says all the same things as he does, but he needs to be in the limelight? A big ego is hard to lose.

(Actually, he did have Yang on his show a couple of days later. I must say that he did give him the floor. And, he did not interrupt him at every sentence as all other White journalists always do (unaware racism).)

A case in point is that he’s showing off relationships he built on CNN with colleagues and politicians who are now given the floor saying nothing new or special. Boring!

He’s going to trod the world to show how it affects the US. Nationalism and egocentricity in a new suit. Instead of using US media and public opinion to strengthen the movements for democracy around the world. No, it’s all about us, our great nation, our own narrow self-interests.

Blind Spots

His analysis is flawed, and the reason is easy to understand. When you are the captain and only listen to yourself, you won’t know your blind spots.

He sees how the Democrats are going to win from January six coup attempt. Not a word about the High Court overturning abortion.

He complains that the protests in Iran are not newsworthy in the US. But not because the US (media) should support their women’s wish for more freedom. No, he asked: You don’t think this is going to influence Iran’s relationship with us? Advertisement

Not only did he miss these two women‘s points. His show is full of men. Not one woman appears, while men cause most of the world’s problems. A blind spot on women is kind of ugly in 2022. He might need more therapy.

Oh, sorry, in the end, there is a token woman, his mother congratulating him. Duh. With her, he has the audacity to defend ‘Family First,’ the reason he was fired from CNN. As a journalist, your job integrity comes first. He reminds me much too much of his brother at his lowest point in public life, who also must be right, even when he’s wrong.

Talking of supremacy, not one non-White person is featured in his lengthy show. This bodes badly. Even Trump features more Blacks.

All that US media attention for the recent flooding in the USA. But, shortly before, a much more devastating flood happened in Pakistan. You won’t hear Como about it. Advertisement

Reasonable but Not

He complains about the Left using the school shootings plague to show the Right has no heart, and the Right using them to show the Left has no head for law and order. But he doesn’t name the gun industry.

He complains that nothing is done about problems because both political parties profit from painting the other as bad. But, he doesn’t name that the billionaires are doing very well.

Airing the Right and Left together doesn’t mean you’re a problem solver.

Reasonable is not reasonable if you leave out reasons because it makes you look more reasonable to not talk about them!

And then, he wants us to call in to talk to him. “I’ll take as many calls as I can.” It doesn’t get more fake than that. The YouTube clip has half a million viewings so far. He’ll talk to us?

He closes off by telling us he was a better war reporter than what there is now in Ukraine. That’s why he came back. He might believe it himself.

I’m not going to follow him. The show is called “Cuomo.” It’s all about me.
