Every Jew is somewhere on a Jewish journey. Some are just beginning. Some have been at it for decades.

The site Beyond BT has been a home for Jews on that journey for many years. BT is short for Baal Teshuva, a term for a Jew who actively takes steps in Jewish learning and observance. We are restarting it here with a renewed sense of purpose.

The Jewish journey is rarely simple. Family relationships can be strained when people are at different points in their Jewish lives. Questions about belief deepen over time rather than resolve. Finding the right next step, and the support to take it, is harder........
