The New Age of Holocaust Deniers Are in Our Government
Mickey Zohar is the face of a new age of Holocaust deniers. October 7th was a massacre, period, exclamation point! It was a new Holocaust. Of course, it was not on a scale of the Shoah but the motivation was basically the same: the complete destruction of the State of Israel and the decimation of the Jewish people.
In addition, the exponential eruption of anti-Israel and antisemitic events around the world immediately following the Black Saturday attack and massacre was not by accident nor was it spontaneous. It was planned for years, richly financed and completely coordinated with a mission of turning Israel and the Jewish people into the aggressors and attackers of October 7 and erasing the fact that Hamas is a blood thirsty terrorist organization that threatens not just Israel but also the west as it’s based on Muslim Brotherhood ideology which wants to destroy anything that differs from them.
Back to Mickey Zohar and his massacre denials. He is not the brainchild of the October 7 deniers; he is just the current face. This has been his role under Netanyahu as one of the puppy dogs following his master’s commands. However, it shows his lack of conscience and moral compass which is the main trait of all of Netanyahu’s puppy dogs.
On day 843, the last of the hostages, Rani Gvilli was brought home for burial. Most people removed their hostage pins, yellow wrist bands, and signs supporting the hostage struggle. I, too took down my signs, my dog tag necklace and stopped wearing hostage support shirts. However, I haven’t been able to bring myself to remove the yellow hostage wrist bands that became a natural appendage on my arm. I was, of course happy that all living hostages were back home and relieved that the dead could finally be buried in Israel but, in my mind, very little was truly settled.
We saw, even before, people like Knesset Speaker and another of Netanyahu’s puppy dogs, Amir Ohana remove his hostage pin in the Knesset as a theatrical move when Trump was there. That was truly a slap in the face to every hostage family and the hundreds of thousands who never stopped demonstrating on their behalf until the last hostage came home.
The fight for the hostages’ return is over but the battle for justice, recognition, responsibility, proper investigation, learnings and implementation of those learnings has just begun. Netanyahu proved this several times in the last weeks, beginning with his response to the State Comptroller that was filled with half-truths and downright lies through the release of select excerpts of still secret protocols of security meetings spanning many years. All of it done as part of the long running plan of his continued refusal to accept any responsibility and shifting all blame to the security and intelligence agencies. And if that wasn’t bad enough, he had his prime minister’s office representative go to the Knesset committee responsible for creating the law to commemorate October 7 and recommend the removal of the word massacre from the title of the law.
This was then followed by the Minister who lacks culture, Mickey Zohar who went on to claim that October 7 wasn’t a massacre. Instead, it was a mass killing event and the people protesting this issue, The October Council (forum of October 7 victims’ families) and their supporters (which should be every citizen of Israel) are all suffering from victim mentality.
Mickey Zohar should study up on what victim mentality means and its key characteristics, which include:
Constant blaming of others
Helpless feeling that leads to lack of proactive problem solving
Negativity of dwelling on misfortunes
Unending seeking of validation through constant complaining to gain sympathy and attention and to validate their status as a victim
Defensiveness which is shown through angry reaction and distrust of constructive feedback which is then attacked aggressively as being aimed at the victim
When looking at all of the above characteristics, it is impossible not to put Netanyahu’s name next to every one of them.
Mickey Zohar and his compatriots know very well that October 7 was a massacre. His was one of the voices heard on news programs following that horrible day. He was also one of the voices calling for a State Commission of Inquiry. But that was all before he and the rest of the Netanyahu puppies received their marching orders of what to say and what not to say. This, unfortunately has continued till the present. They seem to believe that enough time has gone by since the worst day in the history of the State and their continued efforts to rewrite not only the narrative but the actual facts of the day can happen quietly and without major opposition.
Mickey Zohar and Benjamin Netanyahu and all of your puppy dogs, we have news for you. Our political futures, budgets, coalition monies, jobs, loyalty are not dependent on you. Quite the opposite. We will not go quietly into the night. We will not allow or enable you to control the narrative or rewrite the history of the last two and a half years. The fact that you did not all resign on October 8 was already going too far. At this point, you are way beyond the pale and we won’t let it happen. October 7 was a MASSACRE! It happened on your watch and was your responsibility. We, the Jewish People have suffered too many Holocaust Deniers in the world. We are certainly not going to allow anyone in this government to be the new Holocaust Deniers of October 7. It’s not going to happen!
