In less than 48 hours, Iran will prove its non-compliance with President Trump’s ultimatum. Here is what America must do then.
Carry through on seizing the Iranian islands and coastline along the Persian Gulf – as we and Israel are wisely planning at present – plus the strategic overlooking mountain areas.
Annex these areas. Don’t just hold them temporarily. Permanence is necessary for permanent international shipping security in the Gulf.
This is also where Iran’s oil is. Annexing the area immediately means Americans immediately see the benefit of the fight. It defangs the Democrats-media. Everyone will know the answer when the media cry, ‘what’s in it for America, this is not America first, daddy’s a hypocrite’. NOTE: Seizing the oil fields is a net gain; just bombing them is a net cost. More than 85% of all of Iran’s oil and gas reserves are located in and near the Persian Gulf. It’s a huge profit to take them.
The area is also needed for air defense of the Gulf. Set up missile defenses there.
And it’s also the bginning for a real regime change! Declare the seized area a liberated zone. Knock opposition heads together without further delay. Get them to set up a provisional replacement government there for Iran, in return for our support. Iranian officials and military officers can be invited to defect to the provisional Iranian government there.
Get serious about regime change. Stop talking idealistic about how it’s ‘all up to the Iranian people.’ Just make sure it gets done:
* Do our part militarily. As Netanyahu has stated, “You can’t do revolutions from the air. There has to be a ground component as well. There are many possibilities for this ground component”.
* Arm the opposition seriously. Start by arming the pro-Western replacement government that we should let establish itself in the areas we take on the Gulf shore.
* And start talking realistic about regime change: it’s our business, and it’s our huge interest to get it done. The people have been massacred by the tens of thousands for trying unarmed to overthrow the enemy regime. They deserve full military help from us in doing it.
Don’t pull an Obama-style back-down from our ultimatum. Doing that might appease the MAGA ideological fringe – Tucker, Kelly, Kent, MTG, JD Vance – but at an intolerable cost: It would prove we’re still a paper tiger, even under Trump not just under Obama-Biden.
Don’t get into a tit-for-tat with Iran where we’re both bombing the oil and gas facilities in the region. Our economy would suffer really badly from that.
Instead, use the threats you’ve made on bombing their energy fields as a decoy, while you do the real thing – seize the fields and annex the territory.
