The New Antisemitism is Old
The current playbook coming from the far left and the far right in connection with the war to prevent a nuclear armed Iran, is to claim that the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, somehow manipulated the bizarre and crazed President Donald Trump into a war. The social media and bullet talking points go further. They claim that a fundamentally weak and easily manipulated Donald Trump fell under the swoon of the Prime Minister, nicknamed BiBi, and was unable to resist the demonic impulse to wage war against an innocent 90 million people who inherited the Persian Empire.
What at one time would have been laughable, now comes from the highest places in Democratic circles, such as Kamala Harris, who has made the accusation that Prime Minister Netanyahu appealed to President Trump’s ego in order to start and pursue a war that “nobody wanted” and that was against an “innocent” country.
Fabrication of demonic influence against the Jews was started as early as the late Egyptian and Greek Empires. They were both cultures that believed in the battle between the forces of good and evil, light and darkness. This was part of the philosophy of Zoroaster, a Persian Prophet.
The enemies of the Hebrew one G-d belief determined that the dark evil force opposing the many gods of the world could only be the Jews. In other words, the Jewish passion for monotheism was proof of a separation between light and darkness. The Jews then became transmuted into that dark force, rather than being those who brought belief in one G-d to the Western World.
This distortion of the truth and history has plagued the Jews for well over 2,000 years. By the Year 130, the Greek attitude towards good and evil, G-d and the demon, light and darkness was widely accepted.
In the Middle Ages, it was well established in the Western World that Jews manipulated poor innocent Christians through devil worship. In the First Crusade which took place in the 11th Century, the target of western civilization was not to free Israel from the Muslims, as was advertised, but rather to murder Jewish communities throughout Central and Eastern Europe. So destructive were the forces arrayed against the Jewish people that to this day, we say prayers in connection with the destruction that befell the innocent Jewish minorities during the First Crusade. It was a scar that led to permanent injury on the Jewish psyche.
It is shocking and highly disturbing to see politicians today truly resurrecting, and that is not too strong a word, the ancient blood libel that Jews in alliance with the devil manipulate weak-minded corrupt politicians like Donald Trump.
Reading and listening to the statement of Kamala Harris on the Middle East may be laughable to some. Clearly, she is living in an alternate reality, scarred by her own embarrassing loss in the Presidential election and looking for nonexistent ghosts to box with. Whether Harris herself, and those she aligns herself with in the Democratic Party, are antisemites is open to debate. However, what is clear is that the former Presidential candidate has bought into the far left Democratic playbook that the Prime Minister of Israel and the President of the United States are the most evil people in the world, need to be destroyed, and are leading America down a path of domination by evil, uncontrollable forces. Kamala Harris and her ilk will save us!
Who are the allies of the far-left Democrats in the battle of good versus evil, light versus darkness? Not shockingly, their allies are the far right in the Republican Party. Left and right are both dominated by an appalling ignorance and innately negative attitudes towards those they fear and publicly revile. Donald Trump becomes not the puppeteer anymore, but rather that puppet. He is manipulated by a dark force that is uncontrollable but needs to be stopped.
The Senate, in a vote strongly supported by Democrats, came close to cutting off defensive aid to the State of Israel. That would have been the first time in American history that a close ally, advocating for America and American principles, would have been rejected by our duly elected Senators. The progress made by those who hate Israel, despise real democracy, and seek the downfall of Donald Trump at any price, is remarkable.
One should remember that the antidote to antisemitism is not to love Donald Trump or any particular politician. Although the far left and the far right are interested in linking mainstream Republicans to whatever negative connotation can be developed, they harbor no reluctance to rely upon the most ancient forms of hatred to achieve their goals.
Politics has become so toxic and anti-Americanism so widespread that large swaths of elected officials are willing to throw Israel under the bus if it means a vote, power, and the ability to turn America into a nation governed by extremist Sharia doctrine.
The battle in America today is a battle for the soul of our people and the significance of our history. As we come to the 250th anniversary of American independence, we need to look at history and think about its lessons.
At the time this Republic came into being, there was tremendous debate as to whether the nation should support Britian or France. Those two great powers were battling it out on the other side of the Atlantic. The overseas war had direct impact on the United States. Our sailors were impressed into the British, and sometimes the French Navy. Our burgeoning commerce was disrupted, and domestic accusations flew like poisonous arrowheads.
It is forgotten today that the press which supported Thomas Jefferson accused Washington and Adams of being senile and as being agents of the British! Imagine, heroic colonists who sought and achieved American independence, were accused by the Jeffersonians of being British lackies intent on bringing the Monarchy to our shores! Sounds crazy, no? But it was all over the place in the media. Most Americans at the time of the American Revolution were literate and read the newspapers the way people feed on iPhones today.
The party of Washington and Adams, for their part, assured Americans that Jefferson was anxious to bring the guillotine to America. The same terror that had gripped France was sure to be brought to American shores by the Jeffersonians and their counter-revolutionary supporters. Jefferson, the Father of the Declaration of Independence, was pictured as a horrible and dangerous man. Even worse, he was anti-Christian. Jefferson had written his own version of the Bible, writing out the divinity of Jesus. What could be more un-American!
Somehow, America overcame what is correctly called by some historians as the first Civil War. By the time of the early Republic, there were even threats by the northern states that they would succeed from the Union because of how their commerce was being affected by national politics and policies.
When this nation began 250 years ago, Black people were enslaved, Jews were not allowed to vote, and Catholics were demonized as, ready for this, agents of the devil.
Without question Israel stands as the best friend America has had, the very definition of an ally, and the best guarantee we have the nuclear weaponry will not fall into the hands of despots.
The history of the world has shown that whatever new and dangerous military weapon was developed, was eventually used. The threat of nuclear weapons being used by rogue regimes in places like Iran or Noth Korea is very real. Our world stands on the precipice of destruction because western powers have been weak-kneed and fearful in confronting the nuclear threats which dominate our planet.
Both Presidents Clinton and Bush bear the blame not only for permitting North Korea to go nuclear, but for doing nothing about it thereafter. Today, North Korea has intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of the United States with one of the great nuclear arsenals in the history of mankind.
There are those in America who are more interested in dumping on Israel, the Jewish people, and their political opponents than in safeguarding this world from nuclear armed terrorists.
We survived the war between the Jeffersonians and the party of George Washington. Will we survive the current war being waged within our own borders?
