Dems trampled the Constitution, warped criminal justice system to get Trump guilty verdict in hush money case (opinion)

Guilty as charged.

Former President Donald Trump on Thursday was found guilty of all 34 counts of falsifying business records in the Stormy Daniels hush money case.

No surprise. It turns out that not only can you indict a ham sandwich in New York, as the old saying goes, you can also convict one.

So no surprise in the verdict, but irony. After all, this is in New York, where the criminal justice system usually bends over backward to set criminal defendants free.

Except if your name is Donald Trump. Then the rules are different.

It’s the first time that a U.S. president has ever been brought up and convicted on criminal charges.

Never mind that there’s nothing illegal about paying someone hush money, especially if that person signs a nondisclosure agreement to hold their tongues, as Daniels did.

That’s why this case couldn’t be about hush money.
