Q: I’ve been working on paying off my credit card debt and a consolidation loan for about three years. For a while I was really on it. I made extra payments, cut back on eating out and lots of extras, and my balances went down. But sometime in the last year I just ran out of steam. I stopped looking at my statements, I missed a couple of extra payments, and the whole thing started to feel pointless. I know what I should be doing but I can’t seem to make myself do it.
