In 2025, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s vision for a sovereign, democratic and inclusive nation appears more relevant than it has in decades. With the passage of time, the clarity of his thought and the rigour of his reasoning have only grown more apparent. The subcontinent has always been a complex and fragmented space, a chaotic mosaic of religions, cultures, languages and geographies. British rule maintained this patchwork through administrative control, but it could not resolve its inherent contradictions.
