Pakistan’s recent National Games concluded with familiar fanfare on the podium and a familiar silence once the medals were awarded. Winners across disciplines have publicly demanded better facilities, sustained institutional support, and a sporting ecosystem that does not treat excellence as a one-off spectacle. Their grievance is neither new nor unreasonable: medals have been won, records broken, yet training conditions remain substandard and promises perennially deferred.
