When it comes to protecting our children, parents rely heavily on trust.

They trust a pediatrician who has a long record of caring for children. They trust the safety of playground equipment, car seats, toys and medical matters based on peer-reviewed science, government safety records, and the expertise of highly regarded child safety advocacy organizations.

But recently, many in government and the medical community have come to cast doubt on the trust parents should place on the federal government when it comes to its recommendations on childhood vaccines.
