EDITORIAL: Spa City officials ‘strike’ again |
Saratoga Springs residents must feel like they’re living in a Three Stooges movie.
At any time, they might find city officials poking one of them in the eye, or bonking them on the head with a shovel, or pressing a hot iron into their face.
Whether it’s arresting citizens for talking too long at meetings or taking them to court for protesting without a permit, or passing a law making it illegal to lie down on a park bench, or hiding government communications on a secret phone to avoid the Freedom of Information Law, city officials always seem to be one step away from biting someone’s knuckles or pulling their hair out.
