Korea, Indonesia cooperate in legislation

At around 5 a.m. in Jakarta, the morning starts off with Azan, the Islamic call to prayer. The children of Jakarta start their morning watching "Pororo the Little Penguin" and "Tayo the Little Bus," Korean animated television series.

The office workers of the city listen to Black Pink's songs or watch videos on Jang Han-sol's YouTube channel, "Korea Reomit," which has 2.1 million subscribers, on their way to work. Indonesian students talk about Korean television dramas they watched last night at break times and people form a heart shape using their fingers when taking a group photo at schools and the workplace.

This is a story of the daily lives of Indonesians delivered by an official of Korea's Ministry of Government Legislation who has been dispatched to Indonesia. The official also said that Korean food such as "tteokbokki" and Korean dramas and films as well as K-pop are no longer unfamiliar and exotic culture, but they have become a part of everyday life.

The friendship and cooperation between Korea and Indonesia are not confined to culture and the scope thereof has expanded to various fields such as public-private........
