Seoul under fire for deporting North Korean fishermen

The Moon Jae-in administration is being criticized for turning a blind eye to the dire human rights situation in North Korea. This criticism has increased as the liberal government is giving top priority to inter-Korean reconciliation over North Koreans' human rights.

Some human rights groups at home and abroad have questioned the Seoul government's hurried deportation of two North Korean fishermen five days after they were caught on Nov. 7 near the eastern sea border with the North. The Ministry of Unification said the two were sent back because........
