Time for Korean companies to stave off Chinese offensive

Tesla has unveiled a plan to shift to a less expensive battery for its electric vehicles. Announcing the plan last week, the world's largest electric vehicle (EV) maker, said it would use lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) batteries for all of its standard-range cars.

LFP batteries are cheaper than nickel-cobalt-aluminum (NCA) batteries because they don't use the expensive metals nickel and cobalt. Manufactured predominantly by Chinese companies, LFP batteries are also........
