Through the lens: mentoring young photographers

A senior in high school, I moved to Seoul two years ago when my family relocated here. As an avid photographer, I’ve had the privilege to capture various aspects of Seoul and Korea, including temples, architecture, food, landscapes and people during my time here.

My photography journey began in seventh grade and I discovered a new world through the lens. It allowed me to explore diverse perspectives, whether focusing on inanimate objects or human emotions. Photography helps focus the mind, and it’s something that I really enjoy and value. So I wanted to share this hobby with others.

With this intention, I led a photography workshop for seven girls from the Sundukwon Children’s Center. The center works with the girls to integrate them into society and provides them with several opportunities to learn........
