Walk into Maruti Suzuki’s Nexa showroom on Hosur Road in Bengaluru, and you’ll see that the carmaker’s first “born-electric” vehicle, the E Vitara, occupies centre stage. 

In spite of this prominent placement, though, it turns out the E Vitara is not for sale. Not yet anyway.

“You’ll have to wait till 26 January. They will announce the pricing and start bookings then,” a sales executive told The Ken. Republic Day came and went, but the sales executive’s response hasn’t changed. “You may have to wait a few more........
