SRIINAGAR:  A dream run continues for Faheem Abdullah, who won Zee Cine Best Singer Award for the Saiyaara title song.

Faheem set the stage on fire when he crooned Saiyaara after receiving the honor. Dressed in a crisp black suit, Faheem walked to the stage amid a huge round of applause.

The 24th ZEE Cine Awards 2026 ceremony was held in Mumbai recently. The ceremony will be telecast on Zee Cinema, Zee TV, and ZEE5 on March 15. The ceremony featured a mix of jury and popular choice awards.

Faheem Abdullah’s song was one of the most listened to Bollywood numbers last year. It clocked 29 million monthly on Spotify when it was released last year.  Faheem became one of the most-streamed Indian artists globally last year.

Faheem, who was known for his Jhelum and Mashrawatas songs, became a celebrity with Saiyaara. His success is regarded as one of the biggest for any debutante artist in Bollywood.

In fact, Team Saiyaara shone at the Zee Cine Awards 2026, winning 10 honours, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Debut (Male & Female), and sweeping all music awards, including Best Music.

“Saiyaara shines in Zee Cine Awards 2026 ‘Best Lyrics’, Just because of you, Friends. Mohit Suri #tanishkbagchi @faheemabdullahworld #arsalan_nizami #Sankalp_Sadanah YRF Music YRF – Yash Raj Films,” Irshad Kamil, who won the best lyricist award, wrote on Facebook.

Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda were honoured with the Best Male Debut award for ‘Saiyaara’. The film also won an award for Best Music (Tanishk Bagchi, Faheem Abdullah, Arslan Nizami, Mithoon, Parampara). ‘Saiyaara’ also Best Film (Jury Choice) award.

Faheem Abdullah’s success is not the case in isolation. The year 2025 brought a windfall for obscure Kashmiri artists. Singers, actors, music directors, technicians, filmmakers, you name one, and Kashmiris will pop up.  From `Rangeen’ to `Songs of Paradise’, from `Tanaav’  to `Saiyaara’, Kashmiri artists have made their presence felt in Bollywood.
