Cheating in baseball? Whaaat! What’s next, lying in politics? Surgical nips and tucks in Hollywood? Cheating in baseball? A diamond now in the rough? Say it ain’t so, Joe!

The nation is losing its collective mind over the cheating scandal involving the Houston Astros and Boston Red Sox. It was learned the teams violated Major League Baseball rules by using video surveillance to steal signs from the opposing catchers, including during seasons when each won the World Series. In some instances, the Astros were found to have alerted their batter to the next pitch coming by banging dugout trash cans a certain way or buzzing player-worn devices under game jerseys. Both managers and some executives were fired. Team fines were levied by the league. What’s certain: The next sign-stealing caper is likely well underway.
