Thermos recalls 8.2M bottles, jars after 3 reports of vision loss
(NewsNation) — Thermos is recalling more than 8 million jars and bottles following three reports of permanent vision loss due to problems with the stoppers on the containers.
The recall applies to about 5.8 million Stainless King Food Jars and 2.3 million Sportsman Food & Beverage Bottles, according to a report from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
CPSC warns “the stopper can forcefully eject when opened” if food and beverages are stored in the containers for too long.
They were sold at Target, Walmart and other retailers nationwide and online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Target.com and Thermos.com for about $30 from March 2008 to July 2024.
