Almost 7 in 10 Americans want Iran war done ASAP: Poll

Nearly seven in 10 Americans want the Iran war to be done “as quickly as possible,” according to a new poll.

In The Economist/YouGov poll, 68 percent of respondents said they believe the U.S. “should make a deal to end the war in Iran as quickly as possible,” while 11 percent disagreed. Twenty-one percent were unsure about making a deal.

The war against Iran has stretched on for over three months, with the conflict stressing the global economy and straining U.S. alliances. The closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a key waterway for the oil industry, amid the fighting has also caused oil and gas prices to increase.
