House punts Iran war powers resolution vote 

The House punted a vote Thursday on a Democratic-led war powers resolution aimed at limiting President Trump’s military action on Iran.

House Republicans appear to have pushed the vote over attendance issues. 

Trump and GOP leaders have argued that the president has the unilateral authority to confront Tehran militarily. They’ve also warned that ending the war would empower Iran’s Islamic regime at the expense of the national security of the United States and Western allies.
