Trump appoints former AG Pam Bondi to White House science panel
President Trump has appointed former Attorney General Pam Bondi to his panel on science and technology, nearly two months after he fired her as the head of the Department of Justice.
Bondi will serve on the Presidential Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, joining several business and technology leaders, a White House official confirmed. It comes as Bondi recovers from treatment for thyroid cancer, Axios first reported.
“Pam has been an enormously valuable asset to the president’s team, and I’m thrilled for her and for all of us that she’s going to remain involved in confronting some of the most important issues the administration faces,” Vice President Vance said in a statement shared by the White House.
David Sacks, the co-chair of the council, said on X that “no one is better positioned to support PCAST and to advise the president on legal and regulatory matters” than Bondi, adding he is “excited to have her on board.” Sacks served as Trump’s White........
