Multiple people killed in shooting at Idaho In-N-Out, suspect also dead

(NewsNation) — An active shooter incident at busy commercial area in Twin Falls, Idaho, left multiple people dead, including the suspected gunman, and others injured, police said Saturday.

Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks did not provide an exact number of fatalities as authorities worked to notify next of kin. He said several other people were being treated for injuries and that there was no ongoing threat to the community.

Officers responded around 2 p.m. local time to reports of a gunman at an In-N-Out Burger on Blue Lakes Boulevard, within a bustling shopping district. Nearby businesses and shopping centers reported lockdowns during the incident.

Police were still trying to determine the shooter’s identity and motive.
