DOJ sues Minnesota, alleging Title IX violations over transgender athletes

The Department of Justice (DOJ) sued Minnesota on Monday for allegedly violating Title IX by allowing transgender girls on women’s sports teams, adding to the administration’s growing list of lawsuits around transgender athletes. 

The DOJ argues Minnesota has engaged in sex discrimination by making female student athletes compete against transgender girls, as well as share locker rooms and bathrooms with them.
