Republicans argue financial advantage will help protect House majority in midterms 

Republicans’ House campaign arm is arguing that, six months out from election day, its financial advantage over Democrats will help protect the party’s House majority in the midterms. 

In a new memo, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) touted its $78.2 million cash on hand after the first quarter, higher than their Democratic counterpart’s $69.9 million in the bank.

“The fundraising success goes beyond the NRCC, reflecting a fully aligned operation led by President Trump and House Republican leadership as well as outside partners,” the memo reads, citing Trump’s MAGA Inc. with $347 million on hand and the Congressional Leadership Fund’s $91.4 million on hand.
